The Trick
Chapter 1
One morning, a girl named Jenny was walking to class when she noticed a poster. She stopped in her steps, glared at the poster it read “Indoor Pool Party at the Pool downtown” It’s tomorrow? Jenny thought, she looked at the hosts part it read “Host is Joe” Joe!? From IATW?! Jenny was panicking, she was in the ACP and played Club Penguin, so she knew who Joe was. Jenny looked at the bottom of the poster to find the IATW symbol, the Walrus with a top hat. Yup, it is them… Jenny thought worrily.
She continued to walk to class looking like everything was fine and normal. The morning went by and soon lunch came. Jenny sat at the lunch table with her friends “Did you see that poster?,” asked one of Jenny’s friends, Jenny nodded slowly. “I’m going to that pool party, anyone else going?,” asked another, everyone raised their hands and Jenny slowly raised hers.
Chapter 2
Jenny woke up to the sound of her alarm clock, she hit the “Snooze” button and got up. It’s Saturday, today is that Pool Party.. thought Jenny. Jenny got dressed, and got her swimsuit and towel and put it in a bag. She went to the front door and got out her cell phone, “Hey, when r u heading to the party?” texted Jenny to one of her friends, “I’m heading there rite now if you want to come with me, I’ll be passing your house in a second” text back her friend. “Oh, okay so u soon.” texted Jenny, then she went outside, and looked down the street, she saw someone walking down and thought it was probably one of her friends.
It was her friend after all, she walked down the driveway and met her friend down by the street, they walked and talked for the rest of the way to the party “I’m excited for the party, are you?” asked Jenny’s friend, “Oh, yes, I am.” said Jenny, looking away. After 10 minutes, they arrived at the pool, they went into the locker rooms are changed into their swimsuits. They went to the pool area and it looked like the whole school was there. “Woo hoo!!!” said Jenny’s friend running and jumping into the pool. Jenny walked up to the pool and jumped into the pool.
Chapter 3
“C’mon Jenny, gotta catch up!” said Jenny’s friend, Jenny was behind her swimming after. Jenny soon caught up, Jenny’s friend met up with the others. “Hey everyone!” said one of Jenny’s other friend, “Oh, hey!” said everyone in a chorus. “Attention please! May I have your attention please?” said an old man stepping onto platform that was cutting the pool almost in half. Everyone started swimming towards the platform to hear what the man had to say, there was alot of splashing noise, Jenny and her friends swam towards the platform where the old man was standing.
“Hello,” said the old man “My name is Joe. I’m your host for today.” That’s Joe?! I didn’t think of him as an old man… thought Jenny, “These are gonna be your co-hosts today,” said Joe pointing at some other adults, they weren’t old though. As Joe pointed to them, they waved. Some waved back, Jenny kept her hands and arms down and didn’t wave, she looked around to find Walrus’ with Top Hats’ banners around the pool area on the wall touching the ceiling, Jenny swam back a little and lightly hitted the edge of the pool.
Chapter 4
“You may swim around the pool and talk for 30 more minutes, and then time to move on to the next activity.” said Joe, Jenny was the only that knew what was going on and who Joe was, she knew that the co-hosts were probably his helpers of IATW that help hack. Everyone swam around and talked and laughed, Jenny was quiet most of the time, soon the time came to move on to the next activity, everyone got out of the pool. The boys went to the Boys’ Locker Room and the girls went to the Girls’ Locker Room, everyone changed back from their swimsuits to their clothes, soon everyone was done and walked into a room full of computers.
There was 4 computers to a circle table, “One person per computer, one of the co-hosts will lead you to table group you’ll be in, you’ll each be in a cube with a circle table with 4 computers.” said Joe, the co-hosts raised 4 fingers up, meaning how many people they needed to come with them, as people joined they brought down fingers at a time. Jenny was joined by 3 other people in her group, the co-host motioned her group to follow and soon got to our cube and table. Jenny and the 3 others sat in the chairs and waited for instructions.
Chapter 5
“… Remember,” said the co-host in Jenny’s group, “Do NOT go onto the internet. You may just play games, or else..” Jenny accidentally clicked the Internet desktop picture and her Internet was open when the co-host had said “Do NOT go onto the internet.” , Jenny quickly exited out worrying if she’d get caught. I must contact someone or something for help quickly.. Something bad could happen. It feels like something is coming up that’s bad… thought Jenny worrying. “Hey Jenny,” said one of the others at her table, “What game are you playing?” asked the person. “I’m playing checkers…” said Jenny quickly clicking away to find the checkers game window, the co-host walked around and around the table many times, Is that “co-host” of Joe’s trying to see if were not contacting anyone for help or something? Jenny thought again, she started playing Checkers with someone she didn’t know whom though.
“30 more minutes until the last activity for the party.” said the co-host in Jenny’s group walking around them like a voucher hunting for food. The time came to exit out and shut down their computers, “Alright, follow me everyone,” said Joe giving a big grin, Jenny knew something bad was about to happen. They walked into a empty room with no windows at all. “All right! Everyone, stand against the walls,” said Joe pointing to the 4 walls in the room. “We shall start are next activity shortly.” Joe told everyone with a evil grin.
Chapter 6
“Jenny! Come here.” said one of her friends calling out in the large group of kids talking, Jenny quickly went over to her friend. Her friend, motioned her to come close, like she has to whisper in her ear, Jenny brought her ear to her friend, “Look on the floor, there’s a blood stain..” said her friend whispering in her ear worrying what was going to happen next. Jenny looked down at the floor and there was the blood stain on the carpet, she staggered back bumping into one of her classmates, “Hey!” said her classmate, “Sorry! I’m sorry..” said Jenny and she went back to her friend who was standing somewhere else.
“All right everyone, go stand against that wall over there, the activity will begin shortly,” said Joe still grinning, “We’re just waiting on a few co-hosts to come on over and help with this next activity.” Everyone scattered looking for their friends to stand next to against the wall, Jenny found her friends and stood on the right of all of them. More and more co-hosts came into the room, there was some co-hosts that walked in that have never been seen before through out the whole party, Okay, whatever is happening next probably isn’t good.. I’m very suspicious about Joe.. thought Jenny looking at Joe while he was grinning.
Chapter 7
“Please stay standing and we are waiting on 1-3 more co-hosts,” said Joe still smiling and he was looking directly at Jenny. “What do you think is going to happen?” Jenny whispered to her friend, “I don’t know, but whatever it is, Joe’s looking at you.. Ooooh Lalala,” said Jenny’s friend laughing. “Stop that! It’s not what you think it is.” Jenny snapped back, her friend suddenly stopped laughing, “Alright, alright.. But he’s still looking at you..” said Jenny’s friend calmly. Soon the other co-hosts that Joe was waiting for to arrive, came into the room.
“Alright everyone stand back.. This will be messy!!!” Yelled Joe laughing, he grabbed a gun that was behind him and aimed at Jenny, “Any last words Jenny? Or should I say Pinkgirl3919!” shouted Joe. Everyone gasped and backed away from Jenny, How did he know?! thought Jenny, Jenny took a step back until she hitted the wall, “Good-Bye Jenny.” Joe laughed, Joe pulled the trigger on the gun and Jenny ducked just before Joe pulled the trigger and when she saw the bullet on the ground, she ran saying “Everyone! Get out of here, now!! I’ll take care of this!” Jenny shouted this loudly from the top of her lungs and ran towards Joe.
Chapter 8
“So, what are you going to do? Attack me?” snapped Joe at Jenny. “No, well, maybe..” Jenny told Joe as she ran towards Joe, “Smart, but not enough smarter as the others. You may fool the others, but not me. I can do lots of horrible things to you.” said Joe, “Oh yeah? Is that so?” Jenny shouted, Jenny jumped and kicked Joe and Joe fell back. One of the co-hosts ran up to Jenny while some others helped Joe up, the co-host that was running towards Jenny slammed her with a gun and she fell to the ground, unconscious. Joe soon got up to his feet and walked over to Jenny, “Ha, you weak child.. You’ll never make it out of here. Never.”
Just then, the ceiling started making sounds, out of nowhere there was a hole in the ceiling, the ceiling parts fell down onto the ground. There was helicopters above, Jenny could hear, and Joe and his co-hosts could hear them too. Jenny looked up at the hole and watched it, staring at it waiting for something, anything. “Whoever you are come down immediately!” shouted Joe as he looked up at the hole in the ceiling. Jenny watched in awe as she was still laying on the ground from being slammed with a gun, as a rope came down through the hole.
Chapter 9 – Rescued
“Who are you? Come down instantly!” Joe shouted up at the hole, then came down people in green suits down on the rope and jumped off on the ground and in the room, Jenny, and Joe were in. All of them lined up on one side of the room while Joe and Jenny were on the other side of the room. Soon, all of them were done coming in, Jenny looked at the first person in a green suit that was in the very front that seemed to be their leader, and there was another leader it seemed, they both had name tags, it read Dryvit – ACP Leader, Jenny looked at the other leader’s name tag and it said Saint1119 – ACP Leader. Their here! Their really here! thought Jenny as she looked at the large group of the group she’s in, Army of Club Penguin, ACP.
“Ten HUT!” called out Dryvit, then all the soldiers straightened up, still looking forward. Jenny, still lying on the floor from being knocked out looked at the ACP as they stood there, Saint pointed at one of the soldiers and then pointed at Jenny, “Help her up, we’ll take her back to the base and bring her to the medics,” Saint said to the soldier, “Yes, ma’am.” replied the soldier, and the soldier got out of line and walked up to Jenny, while she watched the soldier come near her. As the soldier got closer Jenny could see it was a girl, Jenny looked at her name tag and it read Pinkgirl1114, “Would you like some help?,” smiled Pinki, “Yes, thank you Pinki,” Jenny smiled back. Pinki helped Jenny up and they both walked to the line.
Chapter 10
Joe watched Pinki, and Pinky walk back to the group. He pointed his gun at ACP, “Ready!” screamed Saint, then all of the ACP soldiers got their guns and pointed them at Joe. Joe put his gun down and gasped. “Aim!” ordered Saint, Joe squealed and ran away with his ‘co-hosts’. “Fire!!” Saint screamed, ACP shot their guns at the door where Joe and his ‘co-hosts’ had ran out of. Pinky quickly covered her ears and ducked, and watched as Joe ran away quickly. “After him!” commanded Dry, all ACP soldiers went out the door after Joe and his ‘co-hosts.’
Meanwhile, the other kids quickly ran out of the building as Joe and his ‘co-hosts’ ran towards them, running away from the ACP. “I got him!” squealed Lillie as she shot Joe’s leg. Joe tumbled down to the ground, as well some of his ‘co-hosts,’ some got away and ran out the building. Dry put his foot on Joe’s arm and laughed, “Ain’t tough now, are ya? Ha!” Joe sighed and rolled his eyes, and mumbled “Stupid kids…” All of the ACP laughed at Joe and his ‘co-hosts.’ “Take him away and his friends away,” demanded Saint. “Yes, ma’am!” called out some ACP soldiers. They cuffed Joe and his ‘co-hosts’ and carried them out to the helicopter. “You alright?” asked a soldier, “Yeah, I’m fine, thanks for asking, erm,” replied Pinky. “Peg,” Peg smiled, “Oh, okay.” said Pinky, smiling back.
Chapter 11
Pinky was carried, and put on a stretcher. They quickly carried her to the medic helicopter back to the ACP Base. “You’ll be alright, for sure. We have great medics back at the base to help you, if you need it.” Pinky nodded and looked out the window of the helicopter as they flew over her town. Then a soldier quietly sat next to her and said “That’s where I live,” the soldier said pointing at a house near the window.
“Really?” asked Pinky in wonder as she looked at the house the soldier pointed too. “Really.” said the soldier smiling, and then he sighed. “I haven’t been home for a few days,” said the soldier, “How come?” asked Pinky. “Well, because of all this ACP stuff. I’ve been really trying to be active and things,” he said looking at his home and then looked at Pinky. “I’m sorry to hear that,” Pinky replied looking at the soldier. “That’s alright, but anyways, my name is Mchappy if you didn’t know,” Mchappy said smiling. Pinky nodded and smiled, and then looked back out the window.
